Spices

OK, so it about adding a little Spice to your life. The word Spice does not mean Hot, it mean Flavor! Fresh, or dried Dill, and some dry Mustard wakes up Egg Salad, Freshly grated Nutmeg in any white sauce, a Bay leaf or two in your beans, or soup. Cinnamon makes a Snickerdoddle cookie, slice open a Vanilla bean scrape out the tiny seed, into your Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.  You just have to have Sage in you stuffing and Celery Seeds in your Cold Slaw. Add some Lemon Pepper, granulated Garlic, and Himalayan Salt to you next whole roasting chicken and place a whole head of Garlic and 1 Lemon cut in half in the cavity, see what a little Spice will do to you!

I only buy my spices, salts and pepper corns in small amounts, when when I intend to use them. That way they are always Fresh and at the pick of flavor. I buy most of my spices at my local spice shop.
